Velwell Road Housegroup

In the period January to April 2005 we studied the eighth century prophets: Amos, Hosea, Micah and Isaiah of Jerusalem. In the autumn, September to November we studied the prophets around the period of the Exile: Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Second Isaiah. In December we considered the Bossingham Paper on Family Friendly Churches (and found it sadly lacking in anything distinctively to do with families). January to March this year we examined the question “How does God interact with His universe?” We found three mutually exclusive biblical answers, one new theological answer (Kenosis) and then considered how our prayer life is affected by the answer we personally gave to the basic question.

In April and May we are to study the widely acclaimed Conference report “Time to talk of God”.

We are always glad to welcome new members to our Group, even if it’s only to “try the water”!
