“THE
MINT” - THE METHODIST CHAPLAINCY CHURCH
For
full details of what goes on at the Mint, please go to the Mint Home Page - you will
find details of our Sunday services, maps to show you where we are, photos of
recent events, details of the many different countries represented in our congregation,
news of forthcoming activities, invitations to join the choir or the orchestra,
even the text of all the sermons you missed in the last four years! – and
lots more……
If you are coming to study in Exeter, or if you are already here, and would
like more information, please contact Andrew
Sails, who would be delighted to hear from you. Andrew is minister at the
Mint and also Methodist University Chaplain.
“METHANG”
–
THE ANGLICAN/METHODIST STUDENT SOCIETY
“MethAng” meets every Monday evening in term time in the Roborough
Building.
MethAng puts on all kinds of events and activities. In addition to Monday
evening events, last year’s programme included a Musical at the Mint
performed by MethAng members, a Sunday lunch cooked by MethAng members at the
Mint in aid of charity, a Sunday evening service at Silverton Methodist Church
led by MethAng members, and much more. For all the details,
please go to the MethAng
website, or contact Andrew Sails or Rachel
Hackling, MethAng President (mertoniser@hotmail.co.uk)
KOREAN STUDENT GROUP
민트 한인 교회에 오신 것을 환영합니다 - 주일 오전 10시 30분에 한국어와 영어 예배 (격주로)를 드립니다.
The
Mint has its own Korean language activities, and many Korean students at the
University and the language schools in Exeter are actively involved. We welcome all Korean
speakers, whether or not you have a specifically religious or Christian background. For more details see
the Mint International page
– which also gives details of the many other nationalities currently
sharing in the life of the Mint.
“CARITAS”
HOUSE GROUP
“Caritas”
is one of half a dozen midweek House Groups linked to the Mint. It meets every other
week for conversation and discussion led by various members of the group. It is quite a small
and informal group, to which all are welcome – but it is a group where
postgraduate students have often found a good place to relax and talk and
hopefully think!
For more info, please see the Caritas
webpage, or contact Andrew Sails, Ben
Thompson or Wilson Wong.
UNIVERSITY CHAPLAINCY TEAM
The
Mint is part of an ecumenical Chaplaincy team serving the whole
University. To
find out more about the Chaplains, the various other Christian societies on
campus, and events at the University Chapel, Catholic Chaplaincy, and
elsewhere, please check out the Chaplaincy
website.
