The Mint Church offers a special welcome to those from Korea. .
We have our own Korean Pastor, Rev Hwang Gwang Myung, who leads Korean language services at 10.30 a.m. on alternate Sunday mornings.      On the other Sundays, Koreans join with other members of the Church to share together in an English service (though some hymns are normally also printed in Korean for those who wish to sing the Korean words).
Regular mid-week events include a Korean Bible study and a Korean youth group.     Occasional activities include special events for Korean New Year, Thanksgiving, etc.     Many Korean friends also share in a variety of other activities at the Church – barn dances, quizzes, picnics, fund raising events etc.

The Korean congregation is largely made up of postgraduate students and their families, language school students, and Koreans with English partners who are living permanently in the UK.       As the main Korean language group in the area, the Mint offers a welcome not only to those with a background in Methodist, Presbyterian or other Christian Churches, but also to all other Korean speakers including those from Buddhist and non-religious backgrounds.
Many Korean families are linked with English families for conversation, and also to help English and Korean members learn more about each other’s cultures

If you would like to know more about the Korean group at the Mint, please contact Hwang Gwang Myung at logos3968@hotmail.com.      If you are living in Korea, but planning a stay in Exeter, we will be very pleased to tell you about life here in Exeter.      If you are already in Exeter, we would be delighted to see you at the Mint.     Either way, do please get in touch.     We look forward to hearing from you.

The Mint has strong links with Zimbabwe – our photo section includes a group of Zimbabwean members at a recent special service featuring contributions from and about Zimbabwe.

Rev Graham Shaw was formerly a member of the Mint congregation, and later spent many years in a courageous and prophetic ministry in Zimbabwe, before returning to the UK in August 2006.
Through Graham and others, we have always maintained a special interest and concern for Zimbabwe and her people.
