Mint Walking Group,

We have continued to meet about every three weeks throughout the year, enjoying all types of weather! Our numbers vary from six to thirty and anyone able to walk four to seven miles is very welcome. The terrain varies from fairly flat country walks to coastal and moorland walks with their “ups and downs”! The walks are an excellent way of getting to know people. They are advertised in Forward and the weekly notices. Different people organise them and there is always a phone number for anyone requiring extra information or a lift. It is a particularly good way for anyone on their own to get to know other members of the Mint.

Saturday 12th November

starting from Wonford Methodist Church at 1.30pm. The church has kindly given permission for cars to parked at the church, the use of toilets and tea making facilities after the walk. The church is situated opposite the Lidl store at the junction of Rifford Road and Wonnford Street. Grid reference SX 942 916 The approximately 2 hour walk which can be adapted to suit weather and walkers, involves one steepish climb with a seat part way up.

There are views from the top of the ridge across Exeter and the estuary. Probably it will last for about 2 hours. If anyone is familiar with the area please let me know, as it is obvious that there is plenty of choice of paths.
