"Faith, Hope and Charity: A History of Education
in Crediton 1547 - 1997"
Chris Jordan is a member here at the Mint and until recently worked as Deputy Head of Crediton Community College. He is extremely knowledgeable on education history and also raises questions about the nature of educational provision today.

David Reece “Occupy Exeter”
David Reece is also a member here at the Mint. His academic interests are in sustainable development, and he has spent two years in West Africa working in this area. He was actively involved in the “Occupy Exeter” protests on Cathedral Green and, with others from the camp, will be raising questions about global capitalism.

Wednesdays at the Mint is a series of midweek evening meetings held at regular intervals between September and June. On most occasions we have an invited speaker, sometimes from within the Mint and sometimes from outside. We aim to have a wide mixture of subjects. Some are topical issues which we want to understand better, others offer us the chance to learn more about ongoing social, cultural and political challenges at home and abroad, while others reflect on aspects of the Christian heritage and its contemporary forms. We also - from time to time! - take a lighter look at life, the universe and everything. The meetings also provide an opportunity to meet old and new friends and take a part in some worthwhile discussions. Everyone is welcome.
