Oriole Road Housegroup

Some of this report may seem to be familiar in that it echoes previous reports – and it does!

We have been in existence as a house group for over thirty years and the following names may be familiar to you. Initiated in the days of the Richardsons, the Fellowship Group continued with support from the Worthington, the Priestley family, the Smerdons and soon after the Priestley’s move to Tedburn, the House Group moved to the Forsyths at Armstrong Avenue and then twenty years ago to 8 Oriole Drive. That’s history as the saying goes and our agendas for discussion continue to be as varied as ever, most topics emanating from issues that challenge or concern members of the Group. We work on an ad hoc programme responding to current affairs, Christian responsibilities at home and abroad and sometimes we weave our way through philosophical and theological webs. Within the Group we are lucky to have a wealth of experience, which members share in an atmosphere of trust and Christian friendship.
